Spanky's Place

I'm on my last flight leg home at the end of an absolutely exhausting week. Last Sunday around 1PM I showed up at the Grand Rapids airport for my flight to Jackson, Mississippi with connections en route in Detroit, MI and Atlanta, GA. The weather was miserable, and I expected delays. I won't bore you with the details, suffice to say that I could probably have driven round-trip to Jackson in the time it took to get there. I finally arrived at my customer's offices around 3PM on Monday. That's 27 hours folks.

It has been a long, but successful week. The flight I'm on was delayed as well, but only by a couple of hours. The upgrade to First Class is a pleasant finish to what started out so poorly. As I sip the perfectly mixed Bloody Maria at my side, I'm thankful in the knowledge that no matter how bad it gets, my journey home cannot possibly be worse than Bill's.
