Just the good ol' boys
Category ReviewsYEEEEEE-HAAAAWWWWW!!!!
Guess what opens today! Only the greatest, most thought provoking, deepest, and intelligent film of all time! (Can you tell I'm a little bit excited?)
I'm headed out to see it in just a little bit (I'll be the one in the front row, wearing my "General Lee" orange t-shirt).
Granted, Johnny Knoxville ain't Tom Wopat, but I'm pretty sure he has studied long and hard to be able to portray the depth of character necessary as Luke Duke. And Sean William Scott playing Bo Duke will, I'm certain, turn out to be a wise decision. I know I bitched about the selection of Jessica Simpson as Daisy; but I've heard from some "in the know" folks that she did good job playing who is quite likely the most intelligent and articulate character to be found in Hazzard county. And casting Burt Reynolds as Boss Hog? Sheer freakin' genius.
Get yer Rebel Yell ready, and head on out to the theatre today!

I just got back from watching the film (the 8:20 show was sold out, so I had to wait for the 9:10 performance) - which I didn't mind a bit. What can I say but WOW!
Nicholson in Cookoos Nest, Wells in Kane, even Dean in Giant have all been replaced by the performance of Knoxville & Scott in Hazzard. This is, quite simply, the pinnacle of motion picture achievement. After seeing this film, there is no reason to ever see another one.
It's that freakin good.
I'm going out to buy the soundrack tomorrow. Oh yeah, does anybody know where I can get a '69 Charger cheap?

I just got back from seeing it for the second time. Last night was with my wife, today I took my son. I figure it's time for a shower, as I'm still wearing my General Lee t-shirt!
BTW, how's the novel coming along?
